Goalkeeper shake-up: Brentford agree deal for Liverpool's Kelleher

Brentford appear to have resolved their goalkeeping dilemma for next season. According to renowned insider Fabrizio Romano, the Bees have reached an agreement to sign Liverpool shot-stopper Caoimhín Kelleher.
Sources report the total deal is worth £18 million, including all bonuses. At the same time, first-choice goalkeeper Mark Flekken is departing the club. The Dutch keeper is heading back to the Bundesliga to continue his career with German side Bayer Leverkusen, who will pay €10 million for his services.
For the record, 26-year-old Kelleher featured in 20 matches for Liverpool in the 2024/25 campaign, conceding 20 goals and keeping nine clean sheets. This transfer could mark the beginning of significant changes in Brentford’s backline as the club continues its active squad overhaul.
