The new T20 cricket tournament, the Global Super League, sanctioned by CWI, is set to begin very soon.

Details: According to ESPNcricinfo, the tournament will kick off on Tuesday, November 26, and will feature five teams. It will be held in Guyana from November 26 to December 7, with a prize pool of one million dollars.

This will be the first standalone cricket event in South America, featuring the Guyanese team Amazon Warriors from the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and four other "recognized" T20 teams from around the world. One of the invited teams is Hampshire, the three-time champions of England’s T20 Blast.

The Global Super League will feature 11 matches in total. Each team will play four group-stage matches, with the top two advancing to the final.

The tournament will compete with the Abu Dhabi T10, which runs from November 21 to December 2, and the Bangladesh tour of the Caribbean, which starts with Tests from November 22 to December 4, followed by three ODIs from December 8 to 12, and three T20Is from December 16 to 20.

Reminder: The new cricket league, The Hundred, continues to gain popularity in the UK, with significant changes expected in the near future.
