Leicester City put on a confident display at the King Power Stadium as they claimed a deserved 3-1 win against an in-form Ipswich Town side, with Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu producing a moment of pure brilliance to headline the encounter.

The Foxes wasted no time asserting themselves, taking the lead just eight minutes into the contest. Bobby De Cordova-Reid unleashed a thunderous long-range strike that left the Ipswich goalkeeper with no chance, setting the tone for a dominant first-half display.

The moment of the match arrived two minutes before the break. Fatawu spotted the Ipswich keeper off his line and audaciously launched a perfectly weighted lob from inside his own half, an astonishing effort from around 65 yards that sailed into the net. The jaw-dropping goal doubled Leicester’s advantage and sent the home crowd into raptures.

Leicester maintained their momentum after the interval and effectively sealed the result in the 52nd minute. Jordan Ayew calmly finished from close range after a well-worked move, converting Ricardo Pereira’s precise cut-back to make it 3-0.

Ipswich managed to pull one back on 71 minutes through substitute Jens Cajuste, capitalizing on a rare error from Leicester goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk. However, the goal proved to be nothing more than a consolation as Leicester comfortably saw out the remainder of the match.

The victory is a significant boost for Leicester City, moving them to within three points of the play-off places and strengthening their push for promotion.
