Ghana’s hopes of reaching the AFCON 2025 finals were dashed after a 1-1 draw with Angola in their Group F clash during the fifth round of qualifiers on Friday.
The Black Stars opened the scoring in the 19th minute through Jordan Ayew. However, Angola missed a chance to equalize when Mbala Nzola failed to convert a penalty in the 27th minute.
Angola eventually leveled the score in the 64th minute with a goal from Zini, securing the vital point that confirmed their qualification to the finals in Morocco.
The result leaves Ghana at the bottom of Group F, with just 3 points, and officially out of contention for AFCON 2025.
