Gervonta Davis' trainer gave the only reason why the Shakur fight might not happen

Trainer Kenny Ellis has named fear as the only reason why a fight between Gervonta "Tank" Davis and Shakur Stevenson might not happen.
According to Ellis, the only threat to the bout is Shakur's fear.
"Shakur said he would like to fight Tank in November. So let's see how much he wants it now. He's no longer with Bob [Arum from Top Rank]. Let's see. The only thing that can stop this fight is fear. A huge chance," Ellis told MillCity Boxing.
It is worth noting that in June, Gervonta Davis defeated his compatriot Frank Martin. The contender started the fight well but lost momentum before the halfway mark. In the eighth round, he lingered on the ropes, allowing the champion to knock him out.
Additionally, WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson has named the top four best lightweights at the moment.
