Gavin Hunt on working for Stellenbosch FC: So far it has been beautiful and fantastic working for this club as I continue to build it to be the best
Gavin Hunt’s time as Stellenbosch FC coach has been pure bliss.
The former SuperSport United and Kaizer Chiefs coach said he has been enjoying his time at the Cape Winelands side having arrived in January to replace Steve Barker.
Hunt found Stellies languishing at the base of the Betway Premiership table and has seen the team stabilise under his reign to be in a top eight bracket.
“Well, the most important thing in any football club is if they give you an opportunity to work, coach and build teams,” said Hunt.
“If you get that opportunity, you’ll be successful. But you don’t so much time at football clubs.
“But I think it’s important that we get to the end of May and then we can really look at the situation and I think there’s a lot I think it needs to be done.
“This is a club where you can work, and it’s really good to work, it’s fantastic.”
