Gattuso could return to action as soon as possible. A Serie A club is interested in him

After a painful 2-3 defeat to Empoli, Sassuolo have said goodbye to head coach Alessio Dionisi and now the Neroverdi club are busy looking for his successor.
According to Calciomercato, Sassuolo are considering 2006 world champions Gennaro Gattuso and Fabio Grosso, as well as ex-Genoa manager Davide Ballardini. All three have already been contacted by club bosses.
All three contenders want to build a long-term project in Sassuolo and expect a contract until the summer of 2025 or 2026, but the club is not in a hurry to make a decision, entrusting the team to the coach of the Primavera Emiliano Bigica.
It is worth recalling that Gattuso's last place, from which he was sacked less than a week ago, was Marseille. Grosso also has the last mark in his labour at the Ligue 1 club, also Olympique, but already Lyon.
