Marseille have announced on their website that they have ended their co-operation with Italian specialist Gennaro Gattuso.
The club said in a statement that Marseille thank Gattuso's staff and Gattuso himself for the high professionalism they showed on a daily basis and wish him good luck in the future.
Gattuso took over Marseille on 27 September 2023 and led the team through 24 matches. In them, the Olympians have won nine, drawn eight matches and lost seven times.
In the standings of Ligue 1 Marseille is now in ninth place, and under the leadership of the Italian team entered the knockout rounds of the Europa League play-offs, where in the first meeting in Hamburg, Germany, failed to beat Shakhtar Donetsk (2:2).
