Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has addressed the swirling rumors about a potential transfer involving Lionel Messi.
Details: When asked about the possibility of signing Messi, Özbek stated that the club has now reached a level where even such signings can be seriously considered.
“Messi, you say? Galatasaray has reached a level where such questions become possible. We have raised the bar very high,” Özbek said.
"We have kept the core of the team that won three consecutive championships. Everything we do remains within our financial capabilities. That’s why now it’s realistic to talk about Messi as well," the president added.
Reminder: Earlier, there were reports that Galatasaray could sign Inter Miami winger Lionel Messi during the MLS off-season.
