Gabriel Jesus the person of the day at the EPL according to Dailysports

On Saturday, December 21, five matches took place in the 17th round of the English Premier League. Fans witnessed another defeat for Manchester City, as well as dominant victories for Arsenal and Newcastle.

Let's focus in more detail on the match between Arsenal and Crystal Palace. Mikel Arteta's side left no chances for their opponents, scoring five goals against them. Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus scored a brace, and he was named the key player of the day by Dailysports.

Interestingly, Jesus marked his first goals of the current Premier League season. His goals were his first in the league since January 30, ending a 23-match goal drought in the competition.

As a reminder, earlier in the week, Arsenal knocked Crystal Palace out of the Carabao Cup, with Jesus scoring a hat-trick in that match.
