Fury says he "sympathises" with Joshua, but still wants to fight AJ
Former WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury expressed "sympathy" for Anthony Joshua after his recent defeats but remains eager to face AJ in the ring.
Quote: "When your opponent loses, and it’s not at your hands, it brings you down a bit. I felt sorry for him. It was sad to watch a worthy competitor lose his crown.
I’d still fight him, no matter how many losses he has — 10 or 20, it doesn’t matter. At this stage in our careers, what matters most are great fights," Fury told Sky.
Reminder: Joshua lost to Daniel Dubois in September, with Dubois knocking AJ down three times before securing a definitive knockout in the fifth round.
Notably, Turki Alalshikh recently announced the date for Dubois and Joshua's rematch.
Fury is currently preparing for a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, scheduled for December 21 in Riyadh. Their first press conference ahead of the rematch was held on Wednesday, October 23.
