The Spanish national team almost lost their striker.

Details: A story is gaining traction on social media X, where it’s reported that 33-year-old Spanish forward Borja Iglesias was unable to enter Spain’s training center simply because the security staff didn’t recognize him.

It’s reported that Iglesias left the training center on his day off, which was granted by “La Furia Roja” head coach Konrad De la Fuente, but when he tried to return, he couldn’t get back in.

Borja Iglesias informed security that he was a member of the Spanish national team, hoping to convince them to let him in:

“I’m part of the national team, I need to get inside.”

In the end, the striker was finally allowed to return after a call was made to the Spanish delegation, putting an end to the amusing situation.

Reminder: Discipline on display. Cape Verde commit just one foul against Spain
