Fulham have signed a midfielder who was of interest to Manchester United
This summer, Fulham sold their key central midfielder João Palhinha to Bayern Munich, but they have managed to find an admirable replacement.
Today, the London club officially announced the signing of defensive midfielder Sander Berge from Burnley. Fulham paid €24 million for the Norwegian player.
The 26-year-old midfielder has signed a five-year contract with Fulham, with an option to extend for an additional season.
It was previously reported that Manchester United had shown interest in Berge.
Sander Berge joined Burnley only last summer from Sheffield United. In the past Premier League season, he made 37 appearances, scoring 1 goal and providing 2 assists.
Before moving to England, Berge played successfully in Belgium for Genk and in his homeland for Vålerenga.
