Atlético Madrid are considering signing Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka in the 2026 summer transfer window.
Details: According to Diario AS, Atlético are monitoring the future of the German midfielder and are ready to join the race for his signature.
The key factor could be Goretzka's contract with Bayern, which runs until June 30, 2026. So far, the Munich club have not initiated talks about an extension, so Atlético are considering a scenario in which the player could become a free agent.
This season, the 30-year-old German has featured in 22 matches for Bayern in all competitions but has yet to register a goal or assist. Leon Goretzka has been with Bayern since 2018 and during this time has become one of the Bundesliga’s most recognizable midfielders.
It’s worth noting that Transfermarkt values him at €15 million.
