Today, two top European national teams began their preparation for the European Championship. England played a friendly match against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Newcastle, while Germany faced Ukraine in Nuremberg.

In the first half, Gareth Southgate's team was unable to break through the Bosnian defense, but after the break, everything went according to plan. Chelsea star Cole Palmer scored first from the penalty spot, and in the closing stages of the match, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Harry Kane sealed a 3-0 victory. Alexander-Arnold's goal was particularly impressive as he struck the ball beautifully on the volley.

Germany, despite dominating their match, could not overcome Ukraine. The hosts of Euro 2024 had five shots on target but were unable to beat goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin. The visitors launched several successful counterattacks, but the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

England will play one more friendly match before the start of Euro 2024, facing Iceland. Germany will play against Greece on June 7, and then the opening match of the tournament against Scotland on June 14. Ukraine will play two more games against Poland and Moldova.
