French top club set to sign ex-Tottenham midfielder
Everton and Tottenham are still unable to resolve the issue of further stay in the Toffees midfielder Dele Alli, which intends to take advantage of the French top club.
According to Sky Sports, Lille are interested in the 28-year-old midfielder. Moreover, the Champions League participant does not have to hurry with his signing on the day of the transfer window closing.
Although Alli continues to train with Everton, he cannot take part in the team's matches, as he is a free agent. His contract with the Toffees expired on 1 July. Consequently, Lille will be able to sign him outside the transfer window.
Recall that when Alli left for Everton in the winter of 2022, there was a clause that if the midfielder extends his contract with the Liverpool club, the latter will have to pay Everton a certain amount.
And if Alli's next team is not Everton, it will be able to sign the former Tottenham midfielder for free.
