French Interior Minister warns PSG of consequences over banner displayed at Atletico match

Before PSG's recent Champions League match against Atlético Madrid, a banner in support of Palestine appeared in the stands. This led to concerns that it could cause issues, a sentiment echoed by French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau.
Details: The official requested an explanation from PSG regarding the banner, noting that messages like this are prohibited under UEFA rules. Retailleau warned that if similar incidents occur in the future, authorities may consider banning the club’s active fan sections that violate such regulations.
Quote: "I urge PSG to provide an explanation, and all clubs to ensure that politics do not tarnish the sport, which should always be a source of unity. This display had no place in the stadium, and similar messages are banned under League and UEFA rules. If this happens again, we will be forced to consider banning fan sections for clubs that do not comply," Retailleau stated on his account on X.
