French giants want to steal head coach from Lille
Paulo Fonseca's results as Lille head coach, despite not winning any trophies, have impressed other top French clubs.
According to L'Équipe, despite the Portuguese's desire to stay at the Doges, he could leave the team at the end of his contract, which runs until the end of next season. Two Olympique Marseille and Lyon are interested in Fonseca.
Both clubs could see personnel changes in the summer. Thus, Marseille will say goodbye to acting head coach Jean-Louis Gasset, while Lyon may point Pierre Sage at the door and both of these clubs are considering Fonseca as their potential head coach.
It is noteworthy that the Provençals already wanted to invite the 51-year-old specialist a year ago, but then the club settled for Marcelino, who did not work a whole season. He was replaced by Gasset in February this year.
