Eintracht Frankfurt's sports director, Markus Krösche, has given a strong but supportive message to Algerian player Farès Chaïbi, talking about the challenges he's facing with his confidence and performance.
Chaïbi has had a difficult November, losing his place in the team under coach Dino Toppmöller. The young midfielder has played very little in the Bundesliga and was left out of Frankfurt's match squad twice in a row.
In an interview with Kicker, Krösche recognized Chaïbi's struggles, saying: “Chaïbi is going through a tough time right now. He's working really hard to get past it quickly.” Krösche also stressed the club's belief in Chaïbi's skills, stating: “We believe in his potential and his ability to contribute to the team.”
Along with highlighting the inevitable difficulties that young athletes encounter during their development, Krösche urged understanding and patience, saying, "Such phases are part of a young player's growth." Chaïbi is committed to getting back into shape. We must be patient and tolerant with athletes like him even if mistakes are inevitable.
The international break gave Chaïbi a much needed boost despite his club troubles. Prior to the Bundesliga's restart, he had the chance to rediscover his rhythm and confidence by starting for Algeria in their resounding 5-1 triumph over Liberia.
Both the management and supporters want Chaïbi to recover and live up to his potential as one of Frankfurt's up-and-coming players.
