Betis shared the spoils with Girona in Matchday 13 of the Spanish La Liga. Before kickoff, fans of the Seville club unfurled a huge banner dedicated to Isco, who recently extended his contract with the club.
In the 75th minute, Valentín Gómez leveled the score after Vanat had opened the scoring in the first half. But the real drama unfolded just before the final whistle. Antony, attempting an acrobatic bicycle kick, caught his opponent in the head with his boot. The referee initially called a foul, but after reviewing the replay, he showed the Brazilian a straight red card.

Remarkably, this is already the fourth red card of Antony's career. He had previously been sent off while playing for São Paulo, Ajax, and last season for Betis. Now, the leader of the Verdiblancos will miss the upcoming derby against Sevilla, scheduled for next weekend.
