This week, the Formula 1 British Grand Prix heads to the iconic Silverstone track, and there is a growing desire to keep it on the calendar indefinitely.

Details: As Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali stated, he hopes the circuit will remain a permanent part of the racing calendar. In fact, Silverstone is expected to hold a unique position without any serious contender to host the British Grand Prix.

Previously, it was also reported that Dutch driver Max Verstappen has allegedly given his verbal consent to join Mercedes, according to one of the team’s bosses, Toto Wolff. However, the deal is not yet finalized, as it still lacks full approval from the Mercedes leadership.

Reminder: Verstappen's Austrian Grand Prix ended prematurely after a collision with Antonelli in Turn 3 on the opening lap.
