Unfortunately, these are extremely difficult times for every resident of Ukraine.
Details: Today it became known that 35-year-old former attacking midfielder of the Ukraine national team and Dynamo Kyiv, Denys Harmash, has been mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Reports state that Harmash was stopped by representatives of the police and the military recruitment center for a document check. It is also known that Harmash has already undergone a medical examination and selected his preferred military unit. These procedures are mandatory for all eligible conscripts in Ukraine due to the ongoing military aggression by the Russian Federation.
Harmash rose to prominence playing for Dynamo Kyiv, where he regularly featured in European competitions and scored crucial goals. He was also part of the Ukraine squad at Euro 2016.
Harmash has also played for clubs such as Rizespor, Osijek, and Metalist 1925. Currently, he is a player for FC Lesne from the Ukrainian Second League. However, it appears his footballing career will now be put on hold.
Recall: The start of a cup match in Ukraine has been postponed indefinitely. What’s the issue?
