Former Safa presidential hopeful Ria Ledwaba picks AmaZulu boss as the man who should replace Danny Jordaan
Ria Ledwaba has backed AmaZulu President Sandile Zungu for the Safa top job.
Ledwaba said Zungu's business appeal is what makes him a perfect candidate to unseat Danny Jordaan who is seeking a fourth term at the helm of Safa presidency.
Ledwaba tried to contest the Safa elections in 2022 but could not garner enough support to win the ultimate position.
"There comes a point when you look at the contribution that you have made and now you can only be there to advise. There is Sandile Zungu who can stand up, but I don't know if he's been approached by the LFA's out there. I think he is a good administrator, and if he can get support from the regions I believe he can make an impact," said Ledwaba on SABC Sport.
"There are people who could come into that organisation as proper CEOs, because remember when sponsors give they don't give to the Ria Ledwaba Foundation for example, but rather to Ria because they trust and believe."
It is not clear if Zungu will be interested in the Safa presidency job as the elective conference is this September.
