Joselu and Dani Carvajal, who shone together in Real Madrid's triumphant campaign last season, celebrated Christmas together, as shown in a photo posted on Joselu's Instagram. The reason for this festive reunion lies in their family connection: both players are married to twin sisters.
Joselu has been married to model and flight attendant Melanie Cañizares since 2016, while Carvajal tied the knot with her twin sister, Daphne, in 2022. Daphne is the owner of a wedding planning agency.
Joselu currently plays for Qatari club Al-Gharafa, having moved there in the summer of 2024 after an incredibly successful season with Real Madrid and the Spanish national team. The striker helped Real secure the La Liga and Champions League titles and was also part of Spain's European Championship-winning squad.
Dani Carvajal, who shared those same achievements with his brother-in-law, remains a key member of Real Madrid. However, the defender is currently sidelined after suffering a serious knee injury—an ACL tear—in October, ruling him out for the rest of the season.
