Former Polokwane City and AmaZulu coach Jozef Vukusic is on Marumo Gallants radar

Marumo Gallants are lining up former AmaZulu and Polokwane City coach Jozef Vukusic coach for their vacant position.

Vukusic is in the country and he is said to be looking for a coaching opportunity within the Betway Premiership.

The Serbian coach shot to fame in South Africa with Limpopo side Polokwane City seven seasons ago.

Gallants are also without a coach as Matome Mthiyane has been holding the for on interim basis after they let go of Alexandre Lafitte.

The end to Gallants' season was an emotional roller-coaster one for the Bloemfontein-based side as they finished third from the bottom in the PSL standings.

Mthiyane tookover from Moroccan coach Jamil Benouahi who was appointed Gallants coach in March to salvage the team's PSL status.

But Benouahi was not as lucky as Gallants struggled under his reign and the team decided to appoint Mthiyane.

Now Vukusic is likely to lead the team into pre-season and as they start the coming PSL campaign.

The announcement of his appointment is imminent.
