Croatian tactician Igor Tudor is on the verge of becoming the new head coach of Lazio.

According to Nicolo Schira, the club and Tudor are in advanced negotiations, with the Croatian expressing a strong desire to work with the "Eagles."

It is expected that Tudor will soon sign a contract with Lazio until June 2025.

Tudor's most recent coaching stint was at Marseille, where he guided the team to a third-place finish in the previous Ligue 1 season. However, he parted ways with the club in the summer due to disagreements with the management. In Italy, he has previously coached Verona and Udinese. Additionally, Tudor has managerial experience with Galatasaray, Karabukspor, PAOK, and Hajduk.

It is worth recalling that Maurizio Sarri resigned from his position as head coach of Lazio yesterday.

Earlier reports suggested that Miroslav Klose, the all-time top scorer in World Cup history, who concluded his playing career with Lazio, could become the new head coach of the club.
