Former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Lucas Ribeiro Costa receives praise for his attacking prowess from his coach
Lucas Ribeiro is turning heads in Spain.
The Brazilian is leaving supporters, coaches and general football loving public in awe of his technical skills.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns player seems to have found his mojo in Spanish Laliga 2 as he has now registered his second goal in seven matches.
Both they were match-winning goals for his side, Cultural Leonesa.
His coach, Angel Ziganda, formerly with Athletic Bilbao has raved about the left-footed attacker.
“When he touches the ball, everyone's eyes widen and they're on the edge of their seats,” the Cultural Leonesa coach said about the Brazilian after the 1-0 win against Malaga, according to Diario AS.
“The play before the goal was spectacular, top-notch. He's technically very gifted. He's mature, but everyone has their own strengths.
“God gave him certain technical gifts and different physical ones. He's more explosive than aerobic; we have to make the most of him.
“The good thing is that he's very integrated into the squad, he feels the pain of injuries, and he's fully committed. He's a different kind of player than what we have.”
The 26-year-old Brazilian left South Africa crowned the Footballer of the Season, Betway Premiership Players' Player of the Season voted by players, the Premiership Goal of the Season and Premiership Top Goal Scorer awards.
