Former Liverpool star says Salah isn’t the club’s best-ever player
Mohamed Salah is among the greatest five players in Liverpool's history, according to former attacker Stan Collymore. But he thinks the Egyptian star can't top the likes of Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, and Steven Gerrard.
In an interview, Collymore stated, "Salah is a fantastic player for Liverpool, but he is not the greatest or even second-best in the club’s history." "What Gerrard, Rush, and Dalglish achieved is greater than what Salah has done in his eight years at Anfield."
Salah still performs admirably for Liverpool in spite of this. This season, he has led the side to the top of the Premier League with 56 points, scoring 21 goals and dishing out 13 assists. With 178 goals, he just surpassed Chelsea great Frank Lampard to become the sixth-highest scorer in Premier League history.
After talks for a new contract were halted, Salah's future with Liverpool is still up in the air as his current contract ends on June 30.
