Former striker El Hadji Diouf, who played for Liverpool and the Senegal national team, could find himself behind bars due to serious financial misconduct.
Details: According to The Daily Mail, his ex-wife has accused the 44-year-old footballer of evading court-ordered payments following their divorce.
After their separation in 2023, Diouf was required to pay £670 per month to support his 17-year-old daughter, covering her education and medical expenses. However, the former player has failed to meet this obligation for over a year, with court documents showing arrears now exceeding £14,000.
Diouf did not attend the most recent court hearing in Dakar, and now he is set to appear before the High Court of Senegal on December 5, where the case will continue.
El Hadji Diouf is well known for his spells with English sides Liverpool, Bolton, and Sunderland, French clubs Lens and Rennes, and Scottish giants Rangers.
