Former Liverpool defender's next destination emerges

Following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, Liverpool parted ways with Mohamed Salah, as well as head coach Arne Slot and another key figure in defence, Ibrahima Konaté, who is now exploring options for the next stage of his career.

Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, Ibrahima Konaté has received several offers from Saudi Arabia and is expected to evaluate all of them in the coming days. It is worth noting that Real Madrid had previously shown interest in signing the defender, but ended negotiations in November 2025 out of respect for Liverpool.

The French centre-back made 51 appearances for the Merseyside club this season, scoring two goals. According to Transfermarkt, the defender is currently valued at €50 million.

Meanwhile, the hierarchy at Chelsea held internal discussions and carried out a thorough assessment of a potential move for the 27-year-old French central defender.

Reminder: The dismissal of Arne Slot as Liverpool manager continues to generate shocking new details as the story unfolds.
