Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasredine Nabi in line to replace Sam Trabelsi as Tunisian National team coach Trabelsi was axed after Afcon exit

Nasredine Nabi is in the running to replace Sami Trabelsi as Tunisian national team head coach.

Nabi has been club-less since parting ways with Kaizer Chiefs three months ago under a dark cloud and now he has emerged as a replacement for Trabelsi.

Trabelsi was shown the door by Tunisia last week after they were knocked out of the Africa Cup of Nations as they lost to Mali.

The Tunisian federation are looking at a coach who will possibly be in charge of the national side at this year’s World Cup.

RS Berkane’s Mouin Chaâbani, Maher Kanzari, currently at Taraji, Nabil Kouki and Khaled Ben Yahia have been presented to the Tunisian FA but it looks like Nabi is the man they are looking for.

Nabi has also been reported to be entertaining offers from Saudi Arabia and Middle East but a job with prospects of World Cup is likely to be attractive to the former Amakhosi man.
