Former Juventus defender assesses Thiago Motta's appointment

Former Juventus and Italy defender Leonardo Bonucci commented on Thiago Motta's appointment as the head coach of the Bianconeri.

In an interview with CalcioMercato, Bonucci stated that with this coach, Juve can once again compete for the Serie A trophy, as they have a strong squad that has been further bolstered by transfers.

"Motta has a strong squad that has become even stronger thanks to transfers. It will be interesting—I hope Juventus can compete for the Scudetto again. I'm confident Thiago will show his worth. He has everything it takes to become a great coach," Bonucci shared.

Recently, Thiago Motta made his debut at a press conference as Juventus' new head coach. He discussed the team's goals for the upcoming season and his vision for the squad.

Additionally, Thiago Motta wants everyone at Juventus to address him by name. The former Bologna coach has requested signed photographs of every club employee to memorize them.
