Bongani Zungu's time at AmaZulu is over.

The former Scotland's Rangers midfielder is not having his current deal, which expires at the end of the month, renewed at the Durban club.

Zungu arrived at Usuthu with a lot of potential given his experience abroad namely in Portugal and France and also at Caf Champions League winners Mamelodi Sundowns but he has not lived up to those expectations.

Instead, Zungu is said to have always been at odds with coach Arthur Zwane who wanted him to lead the youngsters at the club but the former Bafana Bafana player failed.

Now with his deal coming to an end this month, Zungu is expected to leave Durban and seek greener pastures elsewhere.

His career took a nosedive since he returned to South Africa from Europe tow seasons ago and it seems as if the downslope is continuing.
