Bongani Zungu has been released by AmaZulu after the expiration of his contract at the Durban club.

Zungu, who played in Scotland, France and Portugal in his prime, is one of the six players who are let go by Usuthu as they did not play a meaning part last season.

This was expected as the former FC Rangers player was said to be on a collision course with head coach Arthur Zwane over his behaviour in the team.

When the player was signed, he was expected to be a guiding figure in the team but his limited game time and off-the field behaviour meant he will be let go.

The other players who will leave he club include Richard Ofori, Sphephelo Majola, Mason Mushore, Thabiso Kutumela and Elmo Kambindu.
