Mexican footballer Giovani dos Santos, 35, who previously played for Barcelona, Tottenham, and other clubs, has found success in business after retiring from professional football, reports The Sun.

The former star has become an investor in Procura Mexico, a subsidiary of the state-owned oil giant Pemex, which ranks as the second-largest oil company in Latin America. Thanks to this investment, dos Santos reportedly earns between £400,000 to £500,000 annually.

In addition to his venture in the oil industry, dos Santos has also launched a successful luxury car business in Mexico. It seems the ex-footballer knows how to make smart investments!

Though his club football career had its ups and downs, dos Santos achieved great success with his national team. He became an Olympic champion with Mexico at the London Games and secured three CONCACAF Gold Cups.

Giovani officially ended his playing career in 2021, wrapping up his time with Club América in Mexico City. Prior to that, he spent three years with LA Galaxy in Major League Soccer.
