Yesterday, Las Palmas drew with Celta (1:1) in the 29th round of La Liga, and during the game, one of the players suffered a horrific injury.

Details: Former Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen collapsed on the pitch midway through the first half after a collision with Celta forward Borja Iglesias.

The Dutch goalkeeper left the field on a stretcher, and after the game, an unusual diagnosis for football was revealed.

Cillessen had to undergo emergency bowel surgery due to a perforation. The procedure was performed laparoscopically.

The exact recovery time for Cillessen remains unknown. Currently, the goalkeeper is still in the hospital.

This season, Cillessen has played 27 matches in La Liga, conceding 42 goals.

Reminder: Barcelona's main goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen may play in the Champions League this season, but only if the team unregisters Wojciech Szczęsny.
