After the 29th round of the Bundesliga, where Union suffered a 1-3 defeat to Heidenheim, changes have taken place at the helm of the Berlin side.
Details: Following the loss to Heidenheim (1-3), a Bundesliga underdog, Union's management decided to part ways with head coach Steffen Baumgartner.
Until the end of the season, the team will be managed by U-19 coach Marie-Louise Eta, who is set to take charge of Union's women's first team next season.
Eta has become the first woman ever to coach a men's team in one of Europe's top five leagues.
After 29 rounds, Union sits in 11th place with 32 points, enjoying a seven-point cushion above the relegation playoff zone and an 11-point gap from direct relegation.
