Football chaos in Belgium! Three professional matches suddenly postponed

Belgian football fans have received an unexpected scheduling announcement. Three professional matches originally planned for Friday, October 23, have been postponed, forcing clubs and supporters to adjust their plans.

Details: According to an official announcement shared by DAZN Belgium, three fixtures have been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2026. RSCA Futures will face Lierse at 20:00, while Francs Borains will host FC Dender at the same time. The Belgian top-flight encounter between KV Kortrijk and KV Mechelen will begin at 20:30. All kick-off times are local Belgian time. DAZN did not specify the reason for the changes in its announcement.

The decision affects two levels of Belgian professional football. Kortrijk versus Mechelen is a Jupiler Pro League fixture, while the meetings involving RSCA Futures, Lierse, Francs Borains and Dender belong to the Challenger Pro League. All three matches were due to take place on October 23 before the revised schedule was announced.

The changes mean that six clubs must now prepare for an additional midweek commitment. Supporters planning to attend the fixtures will also need to adjust their arrangements. The announcement provides clarity about the new dates, although further practical information concerning tickets and stadium access should come from the respective clubs.

It's worth noting that the Kortrijk versus Mechelen encounter was initially scheduled for October 23 at 20:45. Its revised kick-off will be 15 minutes earlier on November 4. DAZN's announcement confirms the updated programme but does not provide additional details about the circumstances behind the postponements.
