Manchester City visited Slovan Bratislava for their second match in the UEFA Champions League group stage.

In the first half, the "Citizens" netted two unanswered goals, courtesy of İlkay Gündoğan and Phil Foden.

Interestingly, Foden is one of only four players to have scored in each of the last seven UEFA Champions League seasons (since 2018-19). The Englishman now joins an elite group that includes Robert Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappé, and Antoine Griezmann.

This goal was Foden's first of the season. The English midfielder hasn’t been getting much playing time in the new campaign, with most of his appearances starting from the bench.
