Fluminense Moves Swiftly to Secure Soteldo for Club World Cup

Per Fichajes.net, Fluminense is rapidly advancing its pursuit of Venezuelan winger Yeferson Soteldo, aiming to bolster its attack ahead of the Club World Cup in the United States from June 15 to July 13.
Negotiations with Santos—his parent club until 2028—are reportedly well underway. Club officials and coaching staff held a key meeting, agreeing to present a definitive offer in the coming days to ensure his arrival before the tournament.
Despite managing just two assists in 17 appearances this season, Soteldo retains appeal through his international experience and wing-play threat. His previous working relationship with coach Renato Gaúcho at Grêmio further supports a swift tactical fit within Fluminense's setup.
Reportedly, Soteldo has expressed openness to move. He communicated his preference to Santos president Marcelo Teixeira, who authorized the transfer to avoid retaining an unwilling player. Fluminense appears determined to bring in a player capable of making an immediate impact in a critical tournament, after having a bid for Neymar Jr. rejected.
