Floyd Schofield’s father shares alarming hospital video after poisoning rumors
Floyd Schofield Sr., father of boxer Floyd Schofield Jr., posted a disturbing video on his X account, showing his son lying unconscious in a hospital bed.
Schofield Sr. also shared a message expressing gratitude for the support his family has received during this difficult time.
"God got our back. I would like to thank everyone for their prays. I also would like to thank Your Excellency for the hospitality and great support," he wrote.
Earlier, rumors surfaced suggesting that Schofield Jr. had been poisoned, leading to the cancellation of his scheduled fight against Shakur Stevenson on February 22.
Meanwhile, the search for a replacement opponent for Stevenson is still underway. According to Ring Magazine, British fighter Josh Padley is among the potential candidates to step in.
Schofield boasts a perfect professional record of 18 wins in 18 fights, including 12 knockouts.
The Stevenson-Schofield bout was set to be contested for the WBC lightweight world title.
