A gentleman's agreement has been reached between Liverpool's management and Wirtz.
Details: According to Bild, the 22-year-old Bayer forward has accepted the offer from the Scousers, but the proposed fee was not enough to seal the deal today.
Reports suggest the German club rejected a bid of £110 million, insisting on a minimum of £125 million.
This condition could cast a shadow over the preliminary agreement between Liverpool and Wirtz, but the transfer is still in its final stages and remains very close to completion.
