Flick confirms: Yamal ready to start after minor injury ahead of Athletic Bilbao clash
At the pre-match press conference, Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick shared an update on the condition of the team's young sensation, Lamine Yamal.
Details: Hansi Flick noted that Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal, who was left out of the starting XI in the semifinal against Athletic Bilbao, will be ready for the Spanish Super Cup final against Real Madrid.
"Yamal? He could start. All players are ready, whether it's in the starting lineup or coming off the bench," the coach said.
Flick emphasized the importance of every position, especially the full-backs, highlighting that Balde delivered an excellent performance against Athletic, but tomorrow's scenario will be different:
"It's crucial for the players to be in top form. We need them at their very best," Flick added.
The coach also pointed out that decisions regarding positions, including the center forward, will be made after the final training session.
"We have options for every position, and all of them are strong. The main thing is to win the final and make the right choices for the team," Flick stated.
It's worth noting that the Spanish Super Cup final between Barcelona and Real Madrid will take place tomorrow, January 11th, at 20:00 Central European Time.
Reminder: Barcelona is looking for a new striker and is considering Atlético's Argentine forward Julián Álvarez as a potential candidate.
