This was an outstanding match!
Details: Just now in Jeddah, Barcelona emerged victorious over Real Madrid in an electrifying and dramatic Supercopa final, edging out their rivals 3-2 thanks to a brace from Raphinha and a goal from Robert Lewandowski. Yet, the closing moments nearly flipped the script entirely.
In the 90+5th minute, Los Blancos had not one, but two golden opportunities to level the score and force a penalty shootout. First, Carreras found himself in a prime position but fired his shot straight down the middle, right where Barcelona's keeper Joan Garcia was waiting. Moments later, Real won a corner, prompting their goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to join the attack. After a flick-on from Mbappé, David Alaba also found himself with a clear chance to equalize, but like Carreras, he struck the ball directly at Joan Garcia's safe hands.
In the end, Barcelona, down to ten men, managed to hold onto their 3-2 advantage and claimed the Spanish Supercopa.
