Flashback. Klopp harshly criticised Ramos for the foul on Salah in the Champions League final
Legendary Jürgen Klopp is on a break following his departure from Liverpool, giving him the freedom to participate in various shows where he can speak his mind. Today, on Toni Kroos’s podcast, the German manager reflected on one of the most pivotal moments of his career.
Details: Klopp recalled the infamous foul by Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos on Liverpool star Mohamed Salah in the 2017/18 Champions League final. He stated that he would not want players like Ramos on his team.
"The foul on Salah, we all know that he made it with great pleasure. I never understood his mentality.
When I had players like that, I made sure they left the club".
Reminder: Following that foul, Salah was unable to continue in the final, and Liverpool ultimately lost 1-3. Due to the injury, the Egyptian star also missed the opening two matches of the 2018 World Cup.
