Flamengo fans stage stunning stadium performance to promote Vinicius documentary

Last week, Netflix released a documentary about former Flamengo star Vinicius Junior. To celebrate the occasion, Flamengo supporters put on a spectacular performance at the stadium ahead of their Brazilian Serie A clash against Botafogo.
The fans unveiled a massive banner in the stands featuring an image of Vinicius and the caption, “Dance, Vini!” The illustration captured the iconic celebration of the Brazilian ace during his Flamengo days, when he famously donned a pair of broken sunglasses thrown from the crowd—missing one lens.

“Seven years ago, you put on those glasses and showed us that nothing is impossible. The documentary about Vinicius Junior, ‘Baila, Vini,’ is now available on Netflix,” read the caption on Flamengo’s official Instagram page.
As a reminder, Vinicius is a Flamengo academy graduate who transferred to Real Madrid in 2018 for €45 million. During his time in Brazil, Vini played 69 matches, scoring 14 goals and providing 5 assists.
It’s also worth noting that the match between Flamengo and Botafogo, played last night, ended in a goalless 0-0 draw.
