Brazilian reports suggest that Flamengo, under new coach Filipe Luís, is considering a surprise move to sign Casemiro from Manchester United.
According to Bolavip, the third-placed team in Brazil’s league is exploring the possibility of adding the veteran midfielder, especially since he has been left out of the plans of United’s expected new coach, Rúben Amorim.
Manchester United is reportedly amenable to loaning Casemiro to Flamengo till the end of the current campaign. The English team has granted preliminary consent and is even prepared to pay a portion of his salary while he is on loan.
Ahead of their 2025 FIFA Club World Cup participation, which will take place in the United States this summer, Flamengo see Casemiro as a crucial addition.
In the tournament, Flamengo will compete in Group D alongside Chelsea (England), Espérance de Tunis (Tunisia), and León (Mexico).
