The official publicly accused football's global governing body of attempting to blackmail the Jordan Football Association into backing Gianni Infantino's candidacy in the upcoming presidential elections.

In a scathing post on social network X, Prince Ali revealed the details of the pressure exerted by FIFA officials. According to him, this year the Jordanian side reached out to FIFA three times for assistance on various matters, but each time received the same firm response: they must first officially support Gianni Infantino's re-election.
