The scandal surrounding the leadership of world football is heating up once again.

Details: According to the reputable outlet The Athletic, former FIFA presidential candidate and current head of the Jordan Football Association, Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, has made a sensational statement. The official publicly accused football's global governing body of attempting to blackmail the Jordan Football Association into backing Gianni Infantino's candidacy in the upcoming presidential elections.

In a scathing post on social network X, Prince Ali revealed the details of the pressure exerted by FIFA officials. According to him, this year the Jordanian side reached out to FIFA three times for assistance on various matters, but each time received the same firm response: they must first officially support Gianni Infantino's re-election.

It is worth noting that Prince Ali bin Al Hussein ran for the FIFA presidency in 2015 and 2016, emerging as Infantino's main rival. The Swiss-Italian administrator has led FIFA since February 2016.
