Details: In the second game of the NBA regular season, where the Lakers faced off against Minnesota, the 26-year-old Los Angeles forward made his mark in basketball history.
In a victorious outing for the Lakers (128-110), Luka Dončić poured in 49 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out 8 assists. With this performance, Dončić became the first player in NBA history to record 40+ points, 10+ rebounds, and 5+ assists in each of the first two games of a season.
For the record, this is Dončić's second season wearing the Lakers jersey. In 33 regular season games last year, the Slovenian averaged 28.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 7.3 assists.
