Ermedin Demirović has turned Stuttgart's Champions League opener into his own personal show.

Details: The Bosnian striker produced a stunning start against Viking in the opening round of the 2026/27 Champions League league phase. Demirović needed only 32 minutes to complete his hat-trick, putting the Norwegian side under enormous pressure before the match had even reached the closing stages of the first half.

His three-goal burst also produced the first hat-trick of the new Champions League league phase. None of the players involved on Tuesday's opening night managed to score three times: Marc Bartra, Erling Haaland and Serhou Guirassy were the leading scorers from those matches with two goals each.

For Demirović, it is another major moment in Stuttgart colours after scoring against Köln in the Bundesliga just days earlier. It is worth noting that the 28-year-old forward remains under contract with Stuttgart until June 2028. Transfermarkt currently values the Bosnian at €22 million.

Reminder: One-man rollercoaster! Guirassy writes unprecedented Champions League history against Villarreal
